Adam Sandler earned a mention as Margaret Qualley shared her experience of realizing her love for husband Jack Antonoff
In an unexpected twist, actress Margaret Qualley found herself on the green in the sequel to the classic comedy "Happy Gilmore." Known for her role in "The Substance," Qualley played one of the golfers partnered with the titular character, portrayed by Adam Sandler.
Despite not having any prior golfing experience, Qualley's role in the film was likely a quick learning experience. The movie, which is available for streaming with a Netflix subscription, features many cameos and was a gathering of famous friends.
Interestingly, Qualley considers Sandler to be her longtime celebrity crush. She even went as far as comparing Jack Antonoff, her current husband, to Sandler in the rom-com genre. However, there is no evidence that Antonoff, who is the frontman of the band Bleachers, helped Qualley land her role in the "Happy Gilmore 2" sequel.
Antonoff and Qualley's relationship story is intertwined with Sandler. In an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Antonoff displayed protective behaviour towards Qualley.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's significant other, Travis Kelce, also made a cameo in "Happy Gilmore 2." Swift and Antonoff are frequent collaborators, with Bleachers recently releasing their self-titled album and a revamped version of their first studio album called "A Stranger Desired."
Intriguingly, it was reported that Jack Antonoff lied to Adam Sandler to help Qualley secure a role in the "Happy Gilmore" sequel. The details of this story are yet to be fully disclosed, but it adds an interesting layer to the connection between these celebrities.
As for Qualley, she is currently filming four upcoming projects for the 2025 movie schedule. With her unique journey in "Happy Gilmore 2," it's clear that she continues to push boundaries and take on new challenges in her acting career.
