Adam Driver, a former Marine, has been cast to play Chapman in the movie. Chapman was an Air Force Combat Controller Team (CCT) member of the 24th Special Tactics Squadron, a Tier One unit. His actions during the Battle of Takur Ghar in March 2002 saved the lives of SEAL Team 6 members and the Quick Reaction Force (QRF).
Ron Howard is set to direct the film, which is an adaptation of Dan Schilling's book 'Alone at Dawn'. Anne Hathaway will play an intelligence officer who advocated for Chapman's Medal of Honor. His actions were the first ever recorded to receive this prestigious award.
