Loni Anderson, a native of St. Paul, Minnesota, passed away at the age of 79 on Sunday, 3rd August. Known for her iconic role as Jennifer Marlowe on the hit TV show WKRP in Cincinnati, Anderson had a diverse career spanning over four decades in television and film.

Anderson's showbiz journey began in community theater. Her big break came with the co-starring role of Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati, which ran for four seasons from 1978 to 1982 on the CBS network. This role earned her two prime-time Emmy nominations.

Beyond WKRP in Cincinnati, Anderson starred in several TV series and movies. She played Casey MacAfee in Nurses (1991–1994), appeared in The New WKRP in Cincinnati (1991–1992), and featured in Empty Nest (1993) and Burke's Law (1995).

Anderson took on notable television movie roles, portraying tragic Hollywood figures such as Jayne Mansfield in The Jayne Mansfield Story (1980) and Thelma Todd in White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd (1991). She also appeared in Stroker Ace (1983) with her husband, Burt Reynolds.

Throughout her career, Anderson starred in a total of six television series, seven feature films, 19 television movies, and two mini-series. She also made guest appearances on various prime-time series, including The Bob Newhart Show, Police Story, The Incredible Hulk, The Love Boat, and Three's Company.

Anderson is survived by her adopted son, Quinton Anderson Reynolds, and her fourth husband, Bob Flick. She will be remembered for her memorable performances and her marriage to actor Burt Reynolds, with whom she co-starred in Stroker Ace.
