'Actress Kelley Mack, famed for her role in 'The Walking Dead', succumbs at the age of 33'
American actress and producer Kelley Mack, best known for her roles in "The Walking Dead," "Chicago Med," and "9-1-1," has tragically passed away at the age of 33. The news of her death was announced on social networking site CaringBridge.
Mack was born in Cincinnati and raised in several U.S. towns, including Wyoming, Mt. Lookout, Ellisville, Avon, Charlotte, and Hinsdale. She had lived and worked in Los Angeles for about 11 years before her death.
Mack's acting career began as a child in commercials and student films. She earned a bachelor's degree in cinematography from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in Orange, California.
During her career, Mack amassed about 35 acting credits and five producing credits. She is widely recognized for playing Addy on Season 9 of The Walking Dead and for recurring/guest roles such as Penelope Jacobs on Chicago Med and an appearance on 9-1-1. Her film work included roles such as Alice in Broadcast Signal Intrusion, Wilda in Delicate Arch, and the short The Elephant Garden. She was also listed to appear posthumously as “Ricky” in an upcoming feature titled Universal.
Mack's family reported she passed peacefully after battling a glioma of the central nervous system. Her illness and rehabilitation, including relearning to walk after spinal-cord biopsy effects, were publicly documented at times.
