Country music singer and fashion entrepreneur Jessie James Decker is stepping into the world of acting with her debut role in the upcoming holiday film, "Karen Kingsbury’s The Christmas Ring". The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Karen Kingsbury and is set for theatrical release on November 7, 2025.
In the film, Decker plays the role of Leigh, the best friend of the military widow protagonist, played by Jana Kramer. The story revolves around Vanessa, who falls in love with a poetic antiques dealer (Benjamin Hollingsworth) while searching for her lost family Christmas Ring, an heirloom passed down since D-Day. Meanwhile, the antiques dealer’s father, played by Kelsey Grammer, discovers something that could change his life and threaten their happiness.
Decker's character, Leigh, is a supportive, loving, and outspoken friend who wants Vanessa to find love and happiness again. The film is directed by Tyler Russell and produced by Natalie Ruffino Wilson. It aims to evoke the charm of classic Christmas movies like While You Were Sleeping and Miracle on 34th Street.
The film's release will be handled by Fathom Entertainment, showing exclusively in theaters starting November 6, 2025. Other key cast members include Debbie Winans, who joins the cast in a significant role.
