Actor Vijay Deverakonda admitted to financial struggles earlier in his career, resorted to using costumes from his films for promotional events due to lack of funds for new clothes.
In a remarkable turn of events, actor Vijay Deverakonda has managed to captivate audiences on two fronts. His latest film, Kingdom, is now streaming on Netflix, while his Telugu-language romantic comedy, Little Hearts, has become a box office success.
In Kingdom, Vijay plays Suri, a police constable turned spy, who embarks on a mission for the Indian government to Sri Lanka in search of his long-lost brother Siva, played by Satyadev. The film also stars Venkitesh, Bhagyashri Borse, Rajeev Kanakala, and Anitha Chowdary in supporting roles.
Meanwhile, Little Hearts, a romantic comedy directed by Sai Marthand, has been a resounding success. The film's screenplay was written by the Lauenstein brothers, and it stars Mouli Tanuj Prasanth and Shivani Nagaram in the lead roles.
During the promotions of the film, Vijay Deverakonda expressed his pride in the Little Hearts team and gifted them merchandise from his clothing brand, Rwdy. Mouli Tanuj Prasanth was seen wearing a shirt from the brand at a recent event celebrating the film's success.
Vijay Deverakonda's Rwdy brand has also been a significant source of income for the actor. His team earns enough on Instagram to afford his brand's apparel. The actor is often spotted wearing his Rwdy brand to all events and promotions, including those for Little Hearts.
Interestingly, Vijay Deverakonda's journey in the industry was not always this glamorous. During the promotions of Yevade Subramanyam, he recalled his initial days when he could barely afford clothes for himself.
Despite his current success, Vijay Deverakonda remains humble and has been generous in gifting apparel from his Rwdy wear collection to those who have contributed to his films' success, including Sai Marthand, the writer and director of Little Hearts.
As Vijay Deverakonda continues to shine in the industry, his fans eagerly await his next projects, hoping for another double success like Kingdom and Little Hearts.
