Actor Tsumabuki discusses his Taiwanese journey

In a heartwarming event in Taipei, Japanese actor Satoshi Tsumabuki, Taiwan's tourism ambassador for two consecutive years, shared his experiences and fondness for Taiwan with a captivated audience.

During his recent trip to Taiwan, Tsumabuki had the opportunity to try various new foods and visit new places. One memorable moment was when he enjoyed beef soup in Tainan, where he conversed with a friendly old couple. The warmth of Taiwan's people, he found, was truly special.

The old woman in Tainan recognised Tsumabuki, and the old man, who spoke Japanese, introduced him to some famous restaurants in Tainan. Tsumabuki did not specifically mention the names of any Japanese restaurants he recommended during his visit, instead focusing on enjoying local specialties such as beef soup and interacting with locals.

Tsumabuki prepared shaved ice in the Taiwanese style, including brown sugar syrup, mango, watermelon, tapioca pearls, red beans, and green beans, and expressed his favourite topping as mango.

The event, which was photographed by the Tourism Administration, also saw Tsumabuki sharing his experience filming in Tainan during the meet-and-greet. He expressed that traveling is about connecting with people and feeling closer to those around us.

Tsumabuki expressed that Taiwan is an important place for him, and he honoured the opportunity to serve as Taiwan's tourism ambassador. He also expressed his desire to continue sharing Taiwan's charm and beauty with Japan.

Japanese actor Satoshi Tsumabuki was named Taiwan's tourism ambassador last year, and he has been actively promoting Taiwanese tourism ever since. On Tuesday, he filmed a tourism video in Tainan, further showcasing the city's unique attractions and culinary delights.

Tsumabuki's visit to Taiwan and his role as tourism ambassador have undoubtedly strengthened the cultural ties between Japan and Taiwan, and his passion for Taiwanese culture and cuisine is evident in his actions and words.
