He was best known for lending his voice to several Hollywood stars, including Wesley Snipes in films like Demolition Man (1993), Blade (1998), and The Expendables 3 (2014). Other actors he dubbed include Sean Bean, Martin Lawrence, Benicio del Toro, and Jeremy Irons.
In the realm of video games, Michaelis provided the German voice for iconic characters such as Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, Reaper in Overwatch, and Saul Bright in Cyberpunk 2077. His work spanned both film and gaming, making his voice well recognized in German media.
Apart from his voice-over work, Michaelis also had a successful career on television. He played Kriminaldirektor Bitomsky in the popular German crime drama series "Tatort," appearing in numerous episodes alongside Maria Furtwängler.
