In a recent interview on Gordon Ramsay’s YouTube show, Tom Holland opened up about the ongoing speculation surrounding his potential casting as the next James Bond. The British actor, known for his roles in "Spider-Man" and "Uncharted," acknowledged the rumors but urged fans to keep the excitement minimal for now.

Holland admitted that every young British actor dreams of playing Bond, calling it "the pinnacle of working in our industry." However, he did not confirm any involvement in the role. He hinted that the official casting announcement would come eventually, but for now, the decision remains pending.

Amazon MGM studios is reportedly considering younger actors, including Holland, Jacob Elordi, and Harris Dickinson, for Bond 26. The film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve and written by Steven Knight. Interestingly, Amy Pascal, who works closely with Holland on the "Spider-Man" movies, is co-producing the new Bond movie.

During the same interview, Holland discussed his recent acting hiatus and the importance of setting boundaries. He expressed his desire to take time off to reset and work with his charity, The Holland Foundation. The actor also mentioned plans for a slightly busy year in 2026, with the theatrical releases of "The Odyssey" on July 17 and "Spider-Man: No Way Home" on July 31.

Holland also hinted at a potential pivot to a new genre, specifically comedy. He stated that comedy has taken a hit in recent years and expressed his excitement about the opportunity to explore this genre. Despite the interest, Holland did not confirm any specific projects in the comedy genre.

Rumors suggest that Holland starred as Danny Sullivan in "The Crowded Room," a character who is arrested in summer 1979 due to his involvement in a shooting at Rockefeller Center. During his hiatus, Holland also launched his nonalcoholic beer brand, Bero.

As fans eagerly await the official casting announcement for the next James Bond, Holland remains tight-lipped about his involvement. In the meantime, fans can look forward to seeing Holland on screen in "The Odyssey" and "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" this summer.
