Man Shia LaBeouf: I Ain't Afraid to Call Central Park Home
Transient Stay of Actor Shia LaBeouf in Central Park. - Actor Shia LaBeouf admits to spending some time snoozing in Central Park.
Shia LaBeouf, famed actor, declared he's slept under the stars of New York's iconic Central Park. During an open chat with "The Hollywood Reporter", he dropped the bomb, "I crashed in Central Park, mate." There's a spot where the cheeky ponies hang out, and there's more than enough space to stretch out and unwind, LaBeouf explained. Though you gotta move every three to four hours to keep a low profile, it's worth it for the peace and quiet.
He camped there for almost the entire rehearsal period for the 2013 Broadway play "Orphans", he confessed. You know the one. The play that saw a tangle between him and Alec Baldwin, another big-time actor. When Baldwin hopped aboard the rollercoaster, LaBeouf admitted he wasn't in the best shape. He was insecure, jacked up on steroids. But the two have kissed and made up now.
These days, Shia's taking on a sharp prison inmate in American director David Mamet's latest flick, "Henry Johnson". It's been a while since his breakout role in "Transformers", but don't get it twisted, he's still got the headlines coming. His relationship with British musician FKA Twigs took a turn for the worse in 2020 when she sued him for physical and emotional abuse. Mark your calendars, folks; the trial's slated for September. Shia, for his part, admitted to some rough behavior but denies the specific allegations.
