Riccardo Angelini, the well-known actor from the RTL series "Alles was zählt," initially faced significant challenges due to his South Tyrolean dialect during the early stages of his acting career.

Born in Bolzano, South Tyrol, Angelini's dialect was initially a major obstacle, leading to a bitter rejection that acted as a turning point in his life. This rejection motivated him to overcome this obstacle and change his linguistic approach to achieve success in acting.

Angelini, now 43, was not a stranger to hard work. Prior to his acting career, he was a bricklayer. His determination and resilience shone through as he dedicated hours to becoming proficient in switching between High German and South Tyrolean dialect.

One of the most memorable challenges came during an audition where he struggled with his language skills. The audition was a bust, but it served as a catalyst for Angelini to seek help. He found a private language coach who took him under his wing, guiding him through the intricacies of High German.

With the help of his coach and continued practice, Angelini was able to overcome his dialect barrier. Today, South Tyroleans perceive him as having a strong German accent, a testament to his hard-earned success.

Angelini has been part of the RTL series "Alles was zählt" since 2024, playing the role of chef Matteo Borazio. His journey serves as an inspiration to many, demonstrating that with determination and hard work, one can overcome any obstacle.

South Tyroleans, according to Angelini, speak both German and Italian, but neither perfectly. This linguistic diversity, while challenging, has added a unique flavour to his acting career, making him a beloved figure in the German-speaking world.
