Actor Noah Centineo set to star in Rambo prequel film
In an exciting development for action movie fans, a new prequel to the iconic Rambo series has been announced. Titled John Rambo, the movie will star Noah Centineo as a young John Rambo during his time in the Vietnam War.

The movie is expected to commence production in Thailand in 2026, although a specific release date has yet to be announced. As of now, it's planned for a release sometime after filming in 2026.
Sylvester Stallone, the original Rambo actor, will not be involved in this project. Instead, Noah Centineo, who was most recently seen in Alex Garland's war drama Warfare and the comedy-drama Our Hero, Balthazar, will step into the iconic role.
The character of John Rambo was created by David Morell in his novel First Blood, and Stallone played the role for the first time in 1982's First Blood. The Rambo series continued with Rambo: First Blood Part II in 1985, followed by Rambo III in 1988 and the most recent instalment, Rambo: Last Blood, in 2019.
This project marks a new chapter in the Rambo saga, focusing on its titular character's formative years rather than continuing Stallone’s storyline. The plot of the movie is currently under wraps, adding to the anticipation surrounding this upcoming prequel.
Les Weldon, Jonathan Yunger, and Avi Lerner, along with Trevor Short, Dallas Sonnier, and Amanda Presmyk, are also involved as producers, while Kevin King-Templeton will produce the movie on behalf of Templeton Media. The production banner for the movie is Millennium Media.
