From Disney boy to Rock God: Nick Jonas Tipped to Slip into Paul Stanley's Iconic Makeup for "Shout It Out Loud"
Actor Nick Jonas to take on role of KISS frontman Paul Stanley in upcoming biopic.
Gearing up for a major career shift, Nick Jonas might just ace the hardest role of his acting journey yet. According to industry insider Deadline, talks are heating up between the former Disney sensation and the upcoming Kiss biopic, "Shout It Out Loud." This flick takes us back to the seventies when the world was introduced to the groundbreaking rock band. If the deal goes through, Jonas will don the iconic face paint to embody Paul Stanley, the band's fearless frontman and co-songwriter, responsible for music history with their mesmerizing live performances. Production kicks off at the end of 2025.
Jonas isn't shying away from vocal challenges, either—he's ready to give Stanley's powerful, instantly recognizable voice a run for its money.
The 32-year-old heartthrob has already demonstrated a strong musical background, having skyrocketed to fame as a Jonas Brother and graced Broadway stages in productions like "Les Misérables," "Hairspray," and "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." His acting chops have also shone in the mixed martial arts series "Kingdom."
Who'll Land the Part of Gene Simmons?
Three years since their "final" show, Kiss is back on the road again in November. With over 100 million albums sold globally, they're one of the most successful rock bands of all time and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. Hits like "Rock and Roll All Nite" have echoed through generations. "Shout It Out Loud," that's been in the works for ages, boasts support from Kiss members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, as well as their manager Doc McGhee. Finding the right actor to play Simmons has been a challenge, as per the report.
Stay tuned as the hunt for the right man to portray the larger-than-life Gene Simmons continues!
