Actor John Leguizamo criticizes Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman, for affiliating with ICE, while Cain responds with a diplomatic rebuttal.

In a move that has sparked controversy within the entertainment industry, actor Dean Cain has announced his decision to join U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as an honorary agent. Cain, best known for his role as Clark Kent in the 1990s TV show "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," has long held a hardline view on immigration and has publicly expressed support for stricter enforcement.

Cain's decision to join ICE was motivated by his belief that the current U.S. immigration system is "broken" and needs urgent action until Congress can deliver reforms. He aligned his decision with supporting former President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown policies, which he views as fulfilling the will of voters who desire stronger border security and immigration enforcement.

Cain, who is also a sworn deputy sheriff and reserve police officer in Idaho, shared one of ICE's recruitment videos on social media, which generated significant attention. He expressed that joining ICE is a patriotic act, emphasizing that "this country was built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not, and doing the right thing," and he intends to "do [his] part and help make sure it happens."

However, not everyone in Hollywood is supportive of Cain's decision. Actor John Leguizamo has been vocal in his criticism, labeling Cain a "loser" and a "moron" for joining ICE. The Hollywood Reporter reported on Leguizamo's criticisms, as well as Cain's critical take on James Gunn's adaptation of "Superman." Cain expressed concern over Gunn's comments about the character being an immigrant and questioned the level of "wokeness" in Hollywood regarding changes to classic characters like Superman.

Despite the criticism, Cain remains firm in his decision to stand with ICE. He has praised the diversity of ICE agents, stating they are a cross-section of Americans, and has questioned the vilification of ICE agents. He has also expressed concern about Disney changing classic characters to exist for the times.

In response to Leguizamo's harsh words, Cain issued a gentle reply, stating that he stands with ICE agents who are doing their job, which includes deporting people who are here illegally. He emphasized that his motivation for joining ICE is to protect and serve the American people.
