Get ready, folks! The hilarious family drama "Shrinking" is about to level up with a new addition. None other than iconic actor Jeff Daniels (70) has signed on for a guest role in the upcoming third season! According to Deadline, he'll play the father of main character Jimmy, making him Jimmy's old man. Daniels is no stranger to comedy, with classics like "Dumb and Dumber" (1994) under his belt.
Production's Underway!
Apple TV+ officially confirmed the return of "Shrinking" for a third season back in October, and it looks like they're pulling no punches! Last month, star Christa Miller (60) took to Instagram to announce that filming had begun. "Spoiler alert! We're back!", she captioned a shot from season two, featuring herself as Liz, co-stars Michael Urie (44) and Ted McGinley (66), and series creator Bill Lawrence (56). Lawrence co-created the show with "Ted Lasso" star Brett Goldstein (44) and Jason Segel.
In a statement about season 3, Lawrence said, "I'm lucky to work with an amazing team that makes this project something truly special—and they're people I'd want to hang out with anyway!"
Meet the Cast
Legendary actor Harrison Ford (82) also graces the "Shrinking" set, portraying therapist Dr. Paul Rhoades. Jimmy, mourning the loss of his wife, starts venting his unfiltered opinions to patients, leading to some major upheavals both for their lives and his. Alongside Ford, Segel, and our beloved cast members, Jessica Williams (35), Luke Tennie (30), and Lukita Maxwell (23) are also part of the series.
