Actor Jaxson Dart consistently aces trials set by the Giants, preparing for further challenges ahead.
In a flash, it's clear that quarterback Jaxson Dart is comfortable in his own skin, whether he's among teammates, talking to reporters, or leading the offense. This guy's the real deal.
But what's more intriguing is whether he's as smart as he appears. After all, first impressions aren't always accurate, right?
New York took a chance on Dart, trading up to nab the three-year Ole Miss starter in the first round of the NFL draft. As rookie minicamp started, Dart was already stirring things up.
"He's insane smart," gushes rookie running back Cam Skattebo after a damp practice. "I've talked to him for the past 24 hours, and he's one of the smartest people I've ever met. He nailed all the play calls, snap counts, and more, making sure everyone was on the same page."
There's no rush for Dart to deliver, though. He's the third-string QB, with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston ahead of him. But he's the future of Big Blue—the question is when he'll take the reins. Is it 2025 or 2026? We'll have to wait and see.
Dart is eager to learn and pick up the pace, telling reporters, "As a quarterback, you're the captain of the ship. If you don't know the ins and outs of everything, you're not going to have everyone around you prepared."
Dart's performances on the field were encouraging, completing 80% of his passes during seven-on-seven drills. And off the field, he made it clear he's a natural leader, connecting with teammates and even taking the initiative to review practice scripts with them on the bus ride to the hotel.
Dart's intelligence and leadership skills impressed his teammates. "Coaches say things, and if you can answer fast and accurately, that's tough," Skattebo noted. "It was impressive how often Dart got it right, and how quickly."
A quick learner and natural leader, Dart passed the tests thrown at him in the pre-draft process. Now, he's got plenty more to prove. But with his smarts, determination, and leadership, he's well on his way to winning over NY Giants fans.

Dart claimed he developed a strong bond with head coach Brian Daboll during the grueling pre-draft vetting process[1]. The Giants were particularly demanding, pushing Dart harder than any other team[1]. But Dart passed their tests and earned a spot on the Big Blue roster, eager to learn and prove himself.
