In a significant turn of events, Jasveen Sangha, also known as the "Ketamine Queen," has agreed to plead guilty to five federal charges related to the death of actor Matthew Perry. The charges include selling the ketamine dose that led to Perry's fatal overdose in October 2023.

Sangha, a 42-year-old dealer, has been in custody since her arrest in August 2024. The federal indictment reveals that she sold ketamine for years out of her North Hollywood apartment, admitting to selling ketamine that contributed to another fatal overdose in 2019.

Perry, known for his role as Chandler Bing in the globally recognized TV series "Friends," passed away in Los Angeles in October 2023. The cause of his death was determined to be acute ketamine intoxication by the coroner.

Sangha's plea agreement includes acknowledgment that she knowingly distributed the ketamine Perry injected on the day of his death. She faces decades in prison for each count, with the potential for a long prison sentence.

This case is a significant development in the ongoing federal investigation into the distribution of illicit ketamine linked to Perry's tragic death. Other charged individuals, including Dr. Mark Chavez, Dr. Salvador Plasencia, Kenneth Iwamasa, and an unnamed individual only referred to as "Iwamasa," have also pleaded guilty to drug distribution counts and admitted responsibility in the case.

Iwamasa, Perry's assistant, allegedly administered ketamine to Perry repeatedly, including at least three doses on the day of his death. Sangha's attorney emphasized that she is taking responsibility for her actions.

The U.S. Department of Justice made the announcement about Sangha's plea. Sangha is expected to formally plead guilty in the coming weeks.
