Barbara Meier Joins the Drama in New ZDF Series "Crystal Wall"

Ever since she snatched the title of Germany's Next Top Model in 2007, Barbara Meier (38) has been a force to reckon with. And now, she's adding another feather to her cap - acting. Beginning April 10, catch her in the new ZDF series, "Crystal Wall". As Valerie, an art scene sensation, she attempts to broker a deal with Nicolas Dardenne, the millionaire heir, to grab a gallery.
Barbara Meier has been gracing screens since 2011, with a slew of movie and TV roles under her belt. Last year, she marked a significant milestone by starring in episodes of "Dahoam is Dahoam" as the head of a brewery in the quaint Bavarian village of Lansing - all while speaking in her native Oberpfälzisch dialect, a challenge she openly admitted during an interview with spot on news.
A Star-Studded Cast
"Crystal Wall" promises 24 intriguing episodes, with Barbara Meier expected in at least two. The series boasts fresh talents Anna Bardavelidze (27) and Gustav Schmidt (29) in pivotal roles. But that's not all - familiar TV faces fill out the rest of the cast. Bernhard Schir (62) takes on the role of the powerful and emotionally cold millionaire, Bernhard Dardenne. Gizem Emre (29), known for her roles in "Fack ju Göhte" films and "Chantal im Märchenland", plays the successful influencer and entrepreneur, Dita. Julian Looman (40), garnering attention from hits like "Emily in Paris" and "The Mallorca Files", steps into the disciplined and duty-bound bodyguard, Colin.
"Crystal Wall" weaves the tale of martial artist Louna Loris (played by Bardavelidze), who saves millionaire's son Nicolas Dardenne's life and subsequently becomes his bodyguard. The series kicks off with the premiere of the first ten episodes on April 10, streaming in the ZDF media library.
