Talpade, who has had a mixed bag of results at the box office this year with Emergency, Kapkapiii, Housefull 5, and Baaghi 4, expressed shock upon learning that the movie he rejected was Jolly LLB. He watched the 2013 film and, upon realizing it was the one he had turned down, contacted director Subhash Kapoor to congratulate him. Subhash Kapoor, who directed all three movies in the Jolly LLB series, informed Talpade that the movie he had rejected was indeed Jolly LLB, with some changes made to the script. Talpade, however, stated that he doesn't regret missing out on the opportunity, as he believes Arshad Warsi did a fantastic job in the role.
