Actor Charlie Cox expresses belief that dedicated fans could potentially bring a Daredevil film to life.

In a recent interview at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Charlie Cox, the actor portraying Daredevil in Netflix and Disney+ series, hinted at the potential return of the character on the big screen. Cox, who admittedly is not privy to the decision-making process, encouraged fans to express their interest by writing letters to Disney and Marvel.

The actor, known for his exceptional ability to convincingly deceive, indicated that the small-screen experience of the Daredevil series is akin to a cinematic one, suggesting that everyone should have the opportunity to witness it on the big screen.

Fans are optimistic that the revival of Jennifer Garner's Elektra, following the success of Deadpool and Wolverine, and the delayed Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, could pave the way for a Daredevil film. Moreover, Cox's future appearances as the character extend to the animated Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Brand New Day in 2026.

The Daredevil series will see a return in 2026 with season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again, consisting of eight episodes. This season further integrates Daredevil into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Additionally, a Punisher television special featuring Jon Bernthal is planned, with links to Born Again setting up Bullseye as a new villain for the Punisher.

Beyond Born Again, there are speculative suggestions of appearances in future MCU Avengers films, particularly those involving the Multiverse Saga. However, these appearances are yet to be officially confirmed. The storyline of Born Again also extends into 2027, alluding to Matt Murdock's retirement from vigilante activities but indicating the character's continued arc in the MCU beyond 2026.

Cox expressed his enthusiasm for continuing to portray Matt Murdock, indicating that fans' support remains genuinely appreciated. It appears that the audience is eager to follow the character's journey wherever it may lead.
