Actor Ben Stiller and actress Jessica Chastain set to star in limited series 'The Off Weeks' on Apple TV+
In an exciting development for Apple TV+, the streaming platform has acquired the eight-episode limited series 'The Off Weeks'. This intriguing production, set to premiere soon, boasts an impressive cast led by Jessica Chastain and Ben Stiller.
Jessica Chastain, known for her captivating performances in films such as The Eyes of Tammy Faye and The Help, will star as Gus Adler, a writing professor in this upcoming series. On the other hand, Ben Stiller, fresh from the success of Severance at the Emmy Awards, will take on the role of a mysterious woman named Stella West.
Michael Showalter, who has previously directed and executive produced successful projects like The Shrink Next Door on Apple TV+, will be at the helm for 'The Off Weeks'. Showalter will be joined by Alissa Nutting, who serves as showrunner for the series. Nutting, who has also been involved in projects like Made for Love, brings her unique storytelling skills to this production.

In addition to her work on 'The Off Weeks', Chastain is also an executive producer for another Apple Original, The Savant, which is set to premiere on September 26. Stiller, on the other hand, has an upcoming documentary feature, Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost, on the horizon.
Dean Bakopoulos serves as an executive producer for 'The Off Weeks', joining the talented team of Showalter, Stiller, Semi-Formal, Nutting, and Chastain, who are all represented by various talent agencies, including UTA, Artists First, Goodman Genow, Mosaic, CAA, Hansen, Jacobson, and Artists First.
The success of Severance at the Emmy Awards has further strengthened Stiller's relationship with Apple TV+. Tramell Tillman and Merritt Wever won Outstanding Supporting Actor and Guest Actress in a Drama Series for their roles in Severance, and the series received a total of 27 nominations, with Britt Lower winning Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
