Allu Arjun, the charismatic leading star of the upcoming Telugu film Pushpa: The Rule, recently spilled some beans about the infamous "pallu shot" during a chat at the WAVES 2025 Summit in Mumbai. The actor shared the backstory of this intricate shot, which reportedly took a staggering 80 takes to nail it. 🤔
Allu Arjun's Struggle and Perseverance
Remember the mesmerizing pallu shot in the trailer for Pushpa 2? If you haven't seen it yet, you're missing out! Allu Arjun revealed that it was a complex scene with numerous angles and choreography, making it challenging to get it right. The team began shooting the scene early in the morning, with Allu himself finding his rhythm around 11 am. Finally, after an exhausting shoot lasting approximately 6 hours, the perfect shot was captured around 2:30 pm. 🎥
But, what about those 80 takes? Well, it seems the production team ran out of numbers and letters to keep track, so Allu instructed them to discard the clapboard and declared that the last take that satisfied him would be the one to use. Turns out, they nailed it in either the 78th or 85th take - they lost count by then! 🤯
