Action-packed FunArena Festival experiences a low visitor turnout, per Alexander Eder's report
Despite an impressive lineup of artists and attractions, the Tactraum Festival 2022 in Ingolstadt saw fewer attendees than expected. The event, organised by Stefan Zach, managing director of FunArena in Ingolstadt, featured current acts like Alexander Eder, R.I.O. feat. U-Jean, and Backstreets Back, as well as LED robots and firework fountains.
The low turnout may be attributed to several factors. Ongoing COVID-19 concerns and potential restrictions likely discouraged many from attending large public events. Competing events or local happenings could have divided the potential audience. Insufficient or ineffective promotion could have limited public awareness and interest. The location and accessibility of the festival venue might not have been convenient for a larger crowd, and high ticket prices or poor ticketing options could have deterred potential attendees. Unfavourable weather forecasts during the event dates can also significantly impact turnout.
Despite the low attendance, the festival area offered ideal conditions and had numerous adjacent parking spaces. Sun loungers were available for festival-goers, and four food stands, the Cannabis Social Club, a vitamin drink stand, and numerous bars were present. An action area with activities like hammer throw, bull riding, trampoline, and tire slide added to the festivities.
The festival is taking place for the last time this year, with Stefan Zach expressing his hope to move on after the Tactraum Festival 2021. The ticket price for Alexander Eder's solo concert on July 17 in Regensburg is significantly more. The event location was secured with approximately 600 meters of construction fence and barbed wire for terrorism prevention, and numerous security personnel were present. The advance ticket price for the Tactraum Festival was below 50 euros, but at the box office, it is 50 euros.
Looking ahead, the Tactraum Festival 2025 will be the final one. With up to 5,000 visitors expected, it promises to be a fitting farewell for this popular event. The Tactraum Festival has been a staple in Ingolstadt's summer calendar, and its final edition will undoubtedly be a memorable one.
The low attendance could be due to several reasons such as ongoing COVID-19 concerns, competing events, insufficient promotion, inconvenient location, high ticket prices, or unfavourable weather. Despite this, the festival venue offered plenty of entertainment like food stands, sun loungers, and an action area with games.
