Achraf Hakimi confronts a Rape trial, implicated in an alleged blackmail scheme and the exposure of incendiary text messages

In the ongoing rape allegations against Achraf Hakimi, a Paris Saint-Germain football player, an intriguing twist has emerged. French investigators have uncovered WhatsApp messages between the accuser and her friend, suggesting a possible attempt to extort or rob Hakimi.

The text messages, discovered as part of the investigation, contain phrases like "We're going to rob him blind," "Come in femme fatale mode," and "We're street girls." One of the women involved, identified as Emily, texted Hakimi before their meeting, stating "He's my type." However, it's important to note that the messages do not mention any involvement of Kylian Mbappe or any other PSG player in the alleged plot.

The complainant alleges that Hakimi kissed her without her permission before raping her. The incident is said to have taken place in Paris in February 2023, and Hakimi was subsequently referred to a criminal court on these charges.

The young woman reported the incident to the Val-de-Marne police station at the end of February 2023 but did not file an official complaint. When Emily texted Hakimi, the accuser, Nadia, responded with a laugh, writing "Oh my God, you're dirty."

The existence of these text messages may impact the ongoing trial and court case for Hakimi. His lawyer, Fanny Colin, finds the prosecutor's requests "incomprehensible and illogical given the evidence in the case." The Nanterre Public Prosecutor's Office made this request on August 1, 2025.

The accuser's lawyer, Rachelle-Fleur Bardot, has stated that there is no evidence of an attempt to extort money in the case. Hakimi, in an interview in January 2025, stated, "The truth is that when you succeed, you become an easy target... and I was the victim of an extortion attempt."

Despite these allegations, Hakimi has rejected the rape charge, seeing it as a clear attempt to blackmail him. The case remains ongoing, with conflicting narratives presented by both sides. The trial is expected to shed more light on the events that transpired.
