In the world of cinema, the highly anticipated sequel "The Canoe of Manitu" has made a splash, following in the footsteps of its predecessor, "The Shoe of Manitu." Directed by Michael "Bully" Herbig, the film has topped the charts and achieved similar levels of success.

Produced by herbX film in co-production with Constantin Film, "The Canoe of Manitu" boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Michael "Bully" Herbig, Christian Tramitz, Rick Kavanian, Jasmin Schwiers, Jessica Schwarz, Friedrich Mücke, Daniel Zillmann, Tutty Tran, Tobias van Dieken, Pit Bukowski, Akeem van Flodrop, Merlin Sandmeyer, and Sky du Mont.

The film drama, titled "Das Kanu des Manitu" in Austria, has made a strong start this year, particularly in the Austrian market, with 170,000 viewers. In German theaters, it captured a market share of nearly 60%, making it the strongest cinema start of a German film this year.

The first weekend saw a record-breaking performance, with around 800,000 viewers and 8.3 million euros in revenue. After the first weekend, "The Canoe of Manitu" has almost reached 1 million viewers in the German-speaking region (D/A/CH).

Michael "Bully" Herbig, the director and producer of the film, has been touring cinemas with Christian Tramitz and Rick Kavanian, meeting enthusiastic audiences. The screenplay for the film was written by Herbig, Tramitz, and Kavanian.
