He noted that the welfare schemes, good governance, and welfare of the poor have changed the meaning of government for the people. He also highlighted that due to the trinity of Jan Dhan-Aadhaar and Mobile (JAM), money is reaching beneficiaries directly in their bank accounts, putting an end to the injustice of pilferage and leakage by removing 9 crore fake names from the benefit rolls.
The Prime Minister also released the 11th installment of financial benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, enabling the transfer of around Rs. 21,000 crore to over 10 crore beneficiary farmer families. He expressed that the government is completing its eight years and will continue to work for the welfare, honor, security, and prosperity of every Indian.
The Sammelan aims to have elected public representatives interact directly with the public to get feedback about government welfare programmes. The Prime Minister, in his address, expressed happiness to be in Himachal Pradesh for the occasion, congratulated and wished farmers as over 10 crore farmers received money through the PM Kisan scheme, and thanked the people for giving him the opportunity to serve 130 crore citizens. He also commented that today, India does not extend a hand of friendship in compulsion but extends a helping hand, even during the Corona period, sending medicines and vaccines to more than 150 countries.
The Garib Kalyan Sammelan in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, underscored the Indian government's commitment to addressing poverty and empowering marginalized communities, providing a platform for beneficiaries to share their experiences and for the Prime Minister to reaffirm his dedication to the welfare of all Indians.
