With a background in banking, having worked as a banker from 2017 to 2019, and since January 2020, serving as CEO and Creative Director of Blue Sky Films in the video production sector[6], Kontalis has formulated seven demands under the motto "We are MG. We can do more."[7]

Kontalis' election program includes a vision for fair prices for Döner through voluntary agreements with food vendors[8]. He also wants to combat the vacancy rate in Mönchengladbach and put an end to endless construction sites[9]. To address the concerns of residents, Kontalis has proposed promoting "more offers, leisure opportunities, and retreats - tailored to the needs of women" if elected[11].

In an interview with RTL, Kontalis reiterated that he is 100% serious about his mayoral candidacy[1].
