Accordion Orchestra Rheinhausen Celebrates 75 Years with Special Concert
The 1st Accordion Orchestra Rheinhausen 1950 is set to celebrate its 75th anniversary with a special concert near me on Sunday, October 5th, at 4 pm in the Rheinhausenhalle. Founding members Franz Nickisch and Hans Scheffen will join the festivities, marking a significant milestone for the ensemble.
The orchestra, which has performed at the Stadttheater Rheinhausen and the Rheinhausenhalle over the years, will kick off the anniversary concert with the adult and youth orchestras playing a variety of waltz and dance melodies. The highlight of the first half will be the accordion concerto in G minor by Bernhard Molique, performed by two founding members.
The second half of the concert near me will feature a remarkable 45-member workshop orchestra, led by conductor Hans-Günther Kölz. This will be the largest accordion ensemble ever to perform in the Rheinhausenhalle. The day before the concert, the orchestra will be led by the well-known conductor Michael Ruf. The orchestra's successful youth work will be represented by ten ensemble players in the youth orchestra.
The 1st Accordion Orchestra Rheinhausen 1950 has not only entertained audiences over the years but has also contributed to the community. Since 2016, the orchestra has collected around 20,000 euros for the Children's Emergency Aid Duisburg. The anniversary concert promises to be a memorable event, showcasing the orchestra's history, talent, and commitment to the community.
