Marcin Mamiński, a top legal advisor who helped Aronofsky with his citizenship bid, confirmed the good news. "Yup, that's right. Mr. Darren Aronofsky became a certified Pole about a month ago," Mamiński told the Polish news portal Wprost.

Aronofsky's Polish roots played a big role in him getting citizenship. His grandma was Polish and moved stateside, creating a connection that helped him get the Polish passport. According to Mamiński, Aronofsky's parents had always yearned for him to dive deeper into his Polish roots. With his new Polish citizenship, that wish is finally granted.

Aronofsky's sister, Patti, also landed Polish citizenship. Patti, a ballet school grad who's been in several of her brother's productions, is another link in the chain connecting the Aronofskys to Poland.
