In the heart of Swisttal-Morenhoven, a harrowing scene unfolded as a young woman (30) lost control of her Ford Focus. After veering off the road to the right, her vehicle crashed through a barbed wire fence and plummeted down an embankment.

Behind the wheel, terror gripped her as the car slid 150 meters, spun on its axis, and came to a halt in a narrow ditch. Fortunately, the car's final resting spot saved her life, wedged alongside with the passenger side down in the meadow. Barely injured, she managed to extricate herself from the wreckage.

Unbeknownst to her, an eyewitness had witnessed her predicament and called for aid. Yet, once free, she embarked on a solitary journey towards the nearest residential area. Upon arrival, the police found her vehicle abandoned.

A drone was deployed to search for her, but fortunately, the volunteer fire department had already come to her rescue, having intercepted her on her journey. By this point, she had ventured more than a kilometer away from the incident site.

Blood samples were taken at the hospital, and the police spokesperson confirmed her admission for examination. The ADAC crane truck dislodged the dark blue Ford from the ditch and transported it away.

Although details about alcohol consumption remain unclear, the Rhine-Sieg District Police is investigating its potential role in the accident. Known for its frequent mishaps involving intoxicated drivers, Swisttal-Morenhoven's past echoes in this unfortunate incident.

Joining forces, ADAC tow trucks and the volunteer fire department ensured the scene's safety and rescued the victim. This incident received coverage in both local and national news, reminding us of the importance of responsible driving and the tireless work of emergency services.
