Access to Melody's 2025 Eurovision Costumes Unlocked
Let's Peek Behind the Wardrobe Curtains!Raúl Amor, the style mastermind behind our site, spills the beans on the Spanish wardrobe plan for Eurovision 2025, where Melody is set to shine. This visual concept is not just flashy, but it's chock-full of intention and craft, and it's a proud showcase of Spanish fashion. "I always bet on flaunting Spanish fashion at Eurovision," Amor asserts. "We're here with a Spanish song, a Spanish artist, and we're repping our colors. Why? It's a stage seen by 200 million eyeballs. What a brilliant platform to prove we're a fashion force to be reckoned with!"
Melody's Basel Getup: Totally Divine!
This year, the delegation handed over the reins to designer Gustavo Adolfo Tarí, based in Barcelona, tasked with projecting a contemporary diva vibe on the European stage. His design ensures Melody feels comfortable and free to bust a move during the choreography. The wardrobe's artisanal character is a key focus: "This ain't fast fashion. It's handmade, with love and attention to detail," Amor emphasizes.
The performance kicks off with a black ruffled gown, a modernized take on the traditional Andalusian farthingale, a nod to Melody's roots. Its structured form conjures up images of thorny rose bushes, reminding us of the song's lyrics. The look is accessorized with a wide-brimmed Cordoban hat, adding an air of sophistication. "It's an evolved version of what we saw at the Benidorm Fest, but more theatrical, more dramatic," explains the costume designer.
Underneath that stunning farthingale lies a surprise: a second look—a black dress with sharp shoulders. This second appearance maintains the drama with a hint of elegance. "It's befuddled with black gemstones. To me, it hints at Galician jet. It's got structures on the hip and peaks that create a crisp, defined silhouette."
The third and final look Melody shows off is a body crafted from shimmering silver, lavishly adorned with fringes and over 15,000 crystals of varying sizes. Amor describes this design as the modern diva: "One who can sashay into New York, Vegas, or any big stage." He also teases a shocking detail destined for screen time: "The nails. I haven't seen 'em yet, but they're made specifically for the performance. They're important because there are plenty of close-ups of hands, and Melody's skilled at using 'em to express herself."
Melody won't be alone on stage. "She's accompanied by five badass dancers, whose costumes have also been designed by Gustavo," adds Amor. The dancers' outfits share aesthetic harmony with the artist, but each allows for individuality: "They're in black and silver tones, but each one has a different design. I dig that each dancer has their own personality."
Raúl Amor concludes, "The wardrobe is raw power. I think it's gonna be iconic." Aware of Eurovision's divisive nature, he adds, "There'll be haters, but it's a job worthy of respect and appreciation." He finishes by showing love for the artist: "Melody knows to lean on the wardrobe to shine even brighter. And with her voice, she's got it Made in Spain!"
