AC/DC’s Power Up Tour Electrifies Australia After a Decade Away
AC/DC is set to ignite Melbourne's music scene with their first Australian tour in a decade. The legendary rockers will perform to a staggering 160,000 fans over two nights at the MCG, with a limited number of last-minute tickets still available.
The Power Up tour, which has already captivated around four million people worldwide, will see the band's iconic setlist featuring hits like Highway to Hell, Back in Black, and You Shook Me All Night Long. The massive steel stage, complete with banks of lights, speakers, and a giant black bell adorned with the AC/DC logo, is ready to host the spectacle.
The tour's lineup includes founding member Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, Matt Laug, and Chris Chaney, with support from Australian punk rockers Amyl & The Sniffers. Despite their global success, Angus Young and the band have no special requests for the first Australian show, emphasizing consistency and their commitment to delivering the same high-energy performance that their diverse fan base has come to expect.
Metallica, who will also be performing at the MCG, will bring their own brand of heavy metal to the stage, with upcoming tour locations in Europe and North America.
AC/DC's return to Australian shores promises an unforgettable experience for fans of all ages and backgrounds. After the show, Angus Young and the band will likely unwind with a cup of black tea, but for the fans, the night will be anything but quiet.
