Aboca names Jan Linnemann as Germany's new Country Manager to drive growth
Aboca, an Italian producer of natural health products, has appointed Jan Linnemann as its new Country Manager for Germany. He took up the role in mid-January and will now oversee the company's growth in the country. The firm, known for its organic medicinal plants and in-house production, has seen steady expansion since entering the German market in 2016.
Linnemann brings extensive experience to Aboca. Before joining, he worked as an independent consultant and spent over 14 years at pharmaceutical company Medice, most recently in a senior management position. Earlier in his career, he served as the fourth managing director at Quiris, where he led marketing and sales.
Aboca was founded in 1978 and operates from a Tuscan town. The company controls every stage of production, from research to final product, and grows around 70 medicinal plants across 1,200 hectares of certified organic land. Recognised under Italian law as a Benefit Corporation, it balances business goals with social responsibility. Since launching its German subsidiary in October 2016, Aboca has expanded rapidly. Revenue climbed from roughly €1 million in its first year to over €20 million in 2023. This growth comes alongside a stronger market presence in herbal medicines and supplements, driven by a wider distribution network and product range.
Linnemann's appointment comes as Aboca continues to strengthen its position in Germany. The company's focus on organic production and natural health solutions has supported its rising sales. His leadership will guide further expansion in the country's health and wellness sector.
