Step into a spellbinding atmosphere as we journey back to the '70s. That's right, the historic Burg Bocholt will play host to an unforgettable musical experience on June 20th. Presented by the Cultural Circle of the Economy, this night promises to be an enchanting fusion of history, music, and cultural heritage.
Welcome to "One Night With ABBA," a concert tribute to the legendary Swedish pop ensemble, featuring an authentic recreation of ABBA's iconic sound, lighting, and choreography, complete with star-studded performances. Gate opens at 7 PM, pulling you into the magical world of '70s glam rock pop. The show kicks off at 8 PM, with the talented Linda Mikulec and Simone Kerchner taking center stage as Agnetha and Frida.
Linda Mikulec brings her experience from performances with artists such as Helene Fischer, Robin Gibb, and Paul Potts, to deliver an uncanny resemblance to the original Agnetha Faltskog. Simone Kerchner, known for her roles in "Evita," "Chess," "Moulin Rouge," and "Bonifatius," channels the passionate energy and vocals of Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida).
Rounding out the band is Florian Brettschneider, a multiple award-winning guitarist portraying Björn, and DD Döhrn, bringing Benny's signature piano notes to life. Thomas Bleser on drums and Andreas Düro on bass lay the rhythmic foundation for the concert. Together, they present the classic ABBA sound with charm, finesse, and technical dexterity, delivering hits like "Waterloo," "Mamma Mia," "Dancing Queen," and more.
New this year is the "After-Show Retro Party," starting at 10:30 PM. Immerse yourself in the dance floor inside the castle's halls, as the walls transform into a dance floor, playing hits from the '70s, '80s, and '90s. From ABBA to Madonna, classic rock to dance anthems, it's going to be a night to remember!
