"Aamir Khan Unveils Unconventional Side of His Son Junaid in 'Loveyapa' and 'Maharaj': A Sincere Appraisal"
Title: Aamir Khan Praises Junaid Khan's Acting Skills Amid Mixed Reviews, Admits His Son's Struggles
In an open chat with News 18, Bollywood megastar Aamir Khan gave an honest review of his son Junaid Khan's budding acting career. After making his Bollywood debut in 2024 with "Maharaj," the young actor impressively passed his test with flying colors, according to Dad himself. However, Junaid's second release, "Loveyapa," left audiences divided, with some finding it deeply impressive, while others were left disappointed.
Aamir defended his son, acknowledging Junaid's unique acting capabilities. "He's a pretty good actor," Aamir shared. "I'm really proud of the fact that he's done his job really well in both films. When I saw Maharaj, I felt I was watching Karsan. That sincerity and innocence he brought to the role was really beautiful. His second film, he plays a very Harami character. That's not his personality at all, but even that he pulled off really well."
Up next, Junaid has a love story titled Ek Din, opposite the talented Sai Pallavi, inducing curiosity among fans.
In the heart-to-heart conversation, Aamir also addressed the difficulties and setbacks his son has faced. "He doesn't know how to give interviews. He's too sincere, sometimes says the wrong thing, and people misunderstand him. He's not your regular Hindi film hero. He can't dance to save his life!" Aamir said. This candid admission gives a glimpse into the challenges Junaid faces, despite his obvious talent.
Aamir ended the conversation by expressing his confidence in Junaid's fighting spirit, stating that his son deserves success more than anyone and he fully supports him on his cinematic journey. While Junaid is now gearing up for his next venture, Aamir himself is set to return to the big screen after "Laal Singh Chaddha" (2022) with "Sitaare Zameen Par," alongside the radiant Genelia Deshmukh.
