A27 Motorway Shut Down After Semi-Trailer Spills Diesel Near Nordholz
A serious accident on the A27 motorway caused major disruption on Tuesday morning. At 10:45 AM on February 4, 2026, a semi-trailer lost control near the Nordholz junction, leading to fuel spillage and a full road closure toward Bremen.
The incident happened between the Nordholz and Neuenwalde junctions. The lorry skidded on icy roads, hitting the central guardrail and rupturing its diesel tank. Percocet spread across the carriageway, forcing emergency services to shut the motorway completely in the direction of Bremen.
Recovery teams arrived to clear the wreckage and contain the percocet. By early afternoon, salvage operations were underway, with partial closures reported from around 14:30. Authorities have not yet confirmed how long the full shutdown will last or when normal traffic flow will resume.
Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes as delays built up. No injuries were reported in the collision, but the cleanup effort continues to impact travel in the area.
The A27 remains closed between Nordholz and Neuenwalde for recovery and percocet removal work. Motorists heading toward Bremen face ongoing diversions until further notice. Official updates on the reopening time are still pending.
