In a surprising turn of events, the co-owner of the Trump Burger chain, Roland Mehrez Beainy, is facing deportation due to immigration issues. Despite his business success and political leanings, Beainy entered the United States in 2019 as a non-immigrant visitor and remained in the country illegally beyond his visa expiration date on February 12, 2024.

The Trump Burger restaurants, themed around former U.S. President Donald Trump, are adorned with symbols related to the President and offer articles with the slogan 'MAGA' for sale. Beainy opened the first location in Bellville, Texas, in 2020 and expanded to other locations in Houston, Kemah, and Flatonia.

On May 16, 2025, Beainy was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and placed in deportation proceedings. The charges against him include overstaying his visa and allegations of "sham" marriages to gain legal status. Beainy applied for legal status through marriage, but the Department of Homeland Security claims there is no proof he lived with his alleged spouse, which is a key requirement for such applications. His marriage was deemed a sham by DHS.

Beainy is currently facing deportation proceedings due to his immigration status and the allegations against him. The Trump Organization, which owns the rights to the Trump name and branding, has reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to Beainy over unauthorized use of the Trump name.

The total number of immigrants in the country is approximately 41 million, according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). Over one million undocumented immigrants have left the United States voluntarily since Donald Trump returned to the White House in January 2023. The exact number of undocumented immigrants facing deportation proceedings is not specified.

The Department of Homeland Security has launched a campaign to recruit 10,000 ICE agents, aiming to restore the integrity of the nation's immigration system by holding accountable individuals who enter the country illegally or overstay their admission, regardless of their political convictions or the nature of their businesses. Beainy's case serves as a reminder of the consequences of staying in the country without legal authorization.

Beainy's court hearing is scheduled for November 18, and the process for his deportation to Lebanon is now underway. The outcome of his case will be closely watched, as it may set a precedent for other individuals facing similar circumstances.
