A timeless JRPG gem is set to debut in North America this upcoming July!
Live A Live, a classic Japanese RPG that was originally released in 1994, is making a comeback with a HD-2D makeover. This revamped version of the game will be available outside of Japan for the first time on July 22, 2022.
The game, developed by Square Enix, features seven distinct stories, each with a different protagonist, time period, and gameplay style. Two of these stories are set in Prehistory and Imperial China, offering players a diverse range of settings.
Yoko Shimomura, known for her work on Final Fantasy XV and the Kingdom Hearts series, and Takashi Tokita, famed for his work on Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV, have both contributed to Live A Live's development.
Live A Live is not for the faint-hearted, as it contains elements such as Blood, Crude Humor, Fantasy Violence, Language, and Suggestive Themes. A trailer for the game is available to watch, providing a glimpse into the revitalized world of Live A Live.
Pre-orders for the game are currently available, giving fans the opportunity to secure their copy ahead of the release date. For those who are new to Live A Live or are nostalgic for the game, this is an exciting opportunity to experience or revisit a classic title with a modern twist.
