Young Suspect Arrested in High-Speed Chase on Engelbertusstraße
In an unexpected turn of events, a 17-year-old Iraqi was apprehended in a high-speed chase on Engelbertusstraße, near Aktienstraße, on January 24. The suspect was behind the wheel of a black Mercedes AMG, a vehicle that has been involved in previous incidents.
The incident unfolded around 11 am when the patrol unit attempted to pull over the AMG. However, instead of stopping, the driver accelerated and tried to flee. The chase ended in a dead-end street at the end of Engelbertusstraße.
The officers found the suspect hiding behind a recycling bin near the same street. The teenager abandoned the car and fled on foot, but was eventually caught.
