A substantial turnout for the Rosengarten run: 1259 runners successfully completed the race

The Regional Park Rosengarten played host to the 5th Rosengarten Run and the 4th Rosengarten ULTRA Heath Marathon (RUHM) on a sunny Sunday, with pleasant temperatures adding to the festive atmosphere.

The event, organized by Hausbruch-Neugrabener Turnerschaft (HNT), saw a new participant record set for the HNT's small anniversary, with 1259 runners crossing the finish line. The Rosengarten Run also reached a new record with 1552 registrations.

In the adult category, Christian Diskowski from RSC Lueneburg Triathlon stole the show in the RUHM, setting a new record time of 3:56:46 hours for the 50-kilometer long race. Diskowski was the fastest man in the king's discipline of the Rosengarten Run.

Meanwhile, Leonie de Jong, from VfL Stade, was the fastest woman in the RUHM, with a time of 4:37:36 hours. This was four more than the previous record set in 2019. However, no specific record was set for the children's or youth runs.

The children's run, which included the youngest children between three and five years, saw many children running with their parents. The spectators cheered for the children throughout the run, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere. Unfortunately, no winner or record time was mentioned for the children's run.

Kirsten Moehle from the HNT organizing team expressed pride at being able to excite so many people for the Rosengarten Run. "It's always a pleasure to see so many people coming together for a shared love of running and the outdoors," she said.

Despite the lack of specific records and winners for the children's runs, the event was a resounding success, with participants and spectators alike enjoying the beautiful scenery and camaraderie of the day. The 5th Rosengarten Run and 4th Rosengarten ULTRA Heath Marathon were another testament to the growing popularity of trail and ultra marathon races in the region.

In the midst of various activities, some participants opted for other sports besides the run, possibly enjoying frisbee, soccer, or cycling in the picturesque Rosengarten Park.

A diverse range of sports could potentially be introduced next year at the Rosengarten Park event, inviting more people to participate and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere.
