A Russian Individual Met with an Accident in Thailand.
A light aircraft crash in the Thalang district of Phuket, Thailand, left a Russian man and his Thai flight instructor injured on August 17, 2025. The aircraft involved in the incident was a single-engine Quicksilver MX II Sprint plane.
Sergei Razukov, a 36-year-old Russian student pilot who has lived and worked in Phuket for five years, was the pilot of the aircraft. He was joined by his Thai flight instructor, Surasak Chana. The duo suffered injuries during the crash, with Razukov sustaining minor injuries, including scrapes and cuts, while Chana broke his leg and suffered a head injury.
Both Razukov and Chana were rushed to Thalang Hospital for treatment. The incident occurred in Moo 2 village of tambon Paklok, when the aircraft suddenly tilted downwards, striking power lines, trees, and a road before coming to a halt.
Reports of the incident were first made by Shot, with Sakhapress later confirming the news. As of now, a thorough investigation into the details of the crash is underway, with authorities working to determine the cause.
The incident serves as a reminder to observe safety measures when using small aircraft abroad. Our thoughts are with both Razukov and Chana as they undergo recovery, and we wish them a speedy and full one.
