A powerful workforce or group is in focus here.
In a unique collaboration, a prominent local magazine and the city's largest football club have strengthened their bond. Last week, Markus Kiesewetter, a HSV fan and Hinz&Kunzt salesperson, had the opportunity to address spectators from the main stage during a home game against Fortuna Düsseldorf.
At 7:58 PM on March 8, 2025, Markus, a lifelong HSV supporter, embarked on an exhilarating three-minute journey. In the bright stadium lights, half an hour before kickoff, he stood to present his magazine sales. Admittedly nervous, he encouraged fans to support the 500 vendors, before showcasing the current issue's cover on the stadium's large video screens. He also spoke about the new digital payment method "Hinz&Pay." His final words, a passionate "Stay as you are - Only the HSV!" resonated throughout the stadium.
Marieke Patyna, HSV's Director of Sustainability, expressed delight in the partnership between two Hamburg-based organizations, symbolizing unity within the city. For two years, two Hinz&Kunzt vendors have been authorized to sell the magazine at the north/east entrance and on the west plaza of the arena at every home game, easily identifiable by a large blue-pink flag with the HSV logo and motto "Strong together." The stadium sale marked the highpoint in a shared history dating back to 2021, when the collaboration began during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, joint collaborations have included incorporating the magazine sale in the online shops, HSV employees joining Hinz&Kunzt city tours, and a partnership with the "Homeless Gallery" in March 2023. In the subsequent winter, the Förderkreis Nordtribüne e. V. and HSV Supporters Club initiated a donation campaign for Hinz&Kunzt.
Felix Lösche, a member of HSV's sustainability team, expressed satisfaction with the numerous shared initiatives. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging the street vendors who sell the magazine within the stadium. After his stage appearance, Markus felt a mix of exhaustion and disappointment, confessing he had forgotten half of what he wanted to say. However, the HSV's winning 4:1, a surge in sales due to victories, and a subsequent joyous return to his selling position soon alleviated any doubts.
On March 8, 2025, Markus, a passionate HSV supporter, showcased Hinz&Kunzt magazine at the large video screens during a home game, highlighting the European football leagues coverage within the current issue. The collaboration between HSV and Hinz&Kunzt, two Hamburg-based organizations, has continued to grow, with joint initiatives such as incorporating magazine sales in online shops, partnerships with the "Homeless Gallery" and a donation campaign for Hinz&Kunzt, symbolizing unity within the city.
