Mommy, the Comeback
Kick off the season with Mommy, the Return, a theatrical extravaganza by Olivier Choinière, promising to be a politically charged, horror-infused musical satire. Combining the codes of theater and rap, Mommy, the Return is set to expose the rise of reactionary discourses. The talented ensemble of Félix Beaulieu-Duchesneau, Lyndz Dantiste, Sarah Laurendeau, Gabriel Lemire, Edith Paquet, and Zoé Tremblay-Bianco will breath life into this chilling tale.
The Old World Behind Us
Next up is an adaptation of Olivier Kemeid's haunting novel, The Old World Behind Us, directed by Denis Marleau. This poignant tale revolves around a father-son encounter, spanning time but bound by memory. Award-winning actor Mani Soleymanlou will weave an intimate and powerful narrative in a solo performance. Co-produced by Théâtre Ubu and CTD'A, The Old World Behind Us will be staged in the Michelle-Rossignol room from November 11 to December 6.
