Yeah, you heard it right! The residents of Damascus couldn't be happier! The U.S. under ol' Donnie T may've been a thorn in their side for a while, but not anymore. The folks in Syria are finally sticking a middle finger up to financial isolation and economic restrictions thanks to President Trump lifting sanctions that previously separated them from the global economy.
But it wasn't just Trump that played a significant role in swaying his decision. Saudi Arabia seems to have been the real puppet master, lobbying for the new Syrian government and working hard to limit Iranian influence in the region. And of course, there's the sweet deal they've agreed to with the U.S., shelling out a remarkable $600 billion investment that's got to make things rosy for the States.
So all in all, the good folks in Damascus have a lot to celebrate these days - the lifting of those pesky sanctions is having a tremendous positive impact on their lives. So let's hear it for President Trump and his golden deal with the Saudis! Yaas Damascus!
