A fresh version of Fly From Here: Return Trip, featuring the Atmos mix, is now being released.
Yes Announces Reissue of 'Fly From Here: Return Trip'
Renowned progressive rock band Yes is set to release a reissued version of their 2011 album, 'Fly From Here: Return Trip'. The reissue, which will be available on double vinyl, Blu-ray, and CD, was launched at a two-day fan convention during Yes' fiftieth anniversary tour.
Originally released through the Frontiers label, 'Fly From Here' was Yes' twentieth studio album. The reissued version, set to be released on November 28 through Cherry Red Records, includes 12 tracks, including the previously unreleased songs Hour of Need and Don't Take No for an Answer.
Trevor Horn, who produced the original album and took over vocal duties for the new version, has played a significant role in the creation of the new tracks. Horn began work on the project the day after he performed with the band at their London Palladium shows.
Steve Howe, the guitarist, expressed his excitement about the original 'Drama' lineup playing 'Fly From Here'. The reunion of this line-up, which features Trevor Horn on vocals, adds a unique touch to the new version of the album.
Richard Whittaker, who has worked on recent reissues by The Who, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Robin Trower, and Ultravox, is responsible for the Atmos mix of the reissue. The 2025 Blu-ray edition of 'Fly From Here: Return Trip' offers multiple audio options, including the new Atmos Mix by Richard Whittaker.
'Fly From Here: Return Trip' consists of Overture, Pt I - We Can Fly, Pt II - Sad Night at The Airfield, Pt III - Madman at The Screens, Pt IV - Bumpy Ride, Pt V - We Can Fly Reprise, The Man You Always Wanted Me to Be, Life on a Film Set, Solitaire, Into the Storm, and the previously unreleased tracks Hour of Need and Don't Take No for an Answer.
The reissue of 'Fly From Here: Return Trip' was released through a Pledge campaign. Benoit David, who was the new vocalist for Yes at the time of the original release, left the band a year later due to vocal issues.
Yes fans are encouraged to pre-order 'Fly From Here: Return Trip' to secure their copy of the reissued album. The tracks are set to offer a fresh take on classic Yes music, with the addition of the previously unreleased songs and the Atmos mix by Richard Whittaker.
