In the world of rhythmic gymnastics, Germany has been making waves with its talented athletes. One of the standout performers is Anastasia Simakova, who recently achieved a silver medal in the all-around at the 2025 FISU World University Games Rhine-Ruhr.

Simakova's skill in the hoop events is particularly noteworthy. At the German National Championship 2025, she scored an impressive 29.4, while in qualifications at the FISU Games, she achieved a 28.650 performance.

The 2025 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships is just around the corner, and Simakova has been officially announced as part of the German team lineup, alongside the Olympic champion, Darja Varfolomeev. However, specific ticket information for the World Championships has yet to be detailed.

In the recently concluded German Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, Varfolomeev was the undisputed star, winning the all-around title with an impressive 120.950 points. She also claimed five gold medals in the various apparatus finals. Simakova, on the other hand, won three silver and one bronze medal, while Lada Pusch and Viktoria Steinfeld each won two bronze medals.

The German Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships awarded a total of 16 medals to gymnasts from Schmiden, highlighting the strength of the German team. Margarita Kolosov, who finished fourth in the all-around competition, also won silver and bronze medals in the various events.

As the German team prepares for the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro, their primary goal is to qualify both starters into the all-around final of the top 18 gymnasts and into one or more apparatus finals.

Meanwhile, in a different part of Germany, Helmut Duppel from Rutesheim made a surprising discovery. He found a large-format photo of the Leonberger horse market in his barn. The photo, which is expected to fetch a good price, will be sold for a good cause.

In a separate development, two Asian tiger mosquitoes have been found in Fellbach, posing a potential danger. The German authorities are taking necessary measures to control the spread of these mosquitoes.

Anastasia Simakova's success extends to various sports, as she excels not only in rhythmic gymnastics but also in sports related to her hoop events.
