Chilling Confession in Kassel Axe Murder Trial

Young individual aged 29 admits to committing axe murder in Kassel - A 29-year-old individual acknowledges committing a violent act with an axe in Kassel

Get the inside scoop on the sensational trial happening now at the Regional Court of Kassel, Germany. A 29-year-old Bulgarian man has shockingly confessed to killing his former roommate with an axe back in June 2024.

The prosecution claims that the defendant, in a twisted rage, fatally struck the homeless 26-year-old victim in his sleep. The victim was living with the defendant at the time. Panicking, the defendant later dismembered the body and hid it near the Herkules monument and on the former grounds of the Federal Horticultural Show (Buga) on the Fulda.

The defendant fled to the Czech Republic shortly after the crime, but was apprehended by authorities about six weeks later. A key suspect in the case, the prosecution believes that the defendant may have been driven by jealousy as he was allegedly convinced that his partner was having an affair with the victim.

Confessing His Crimes

During the trial, the defendant detailed the tragic events that transpired in a startling admission. He claimed that the attack occurred not on the 7th, but in the morning of the 8th of June. According to the defendant, there was a heated argument beforehand, and fearing for his own life, he took the axe and struck the victim's head twice.

The murder weapon had been kept in the room for some time because the defendant felt threatened. Under the influence of alcohol and drugs such as cannabis and fentanyl, he did not call an ambulance and initially locked the room after the crime.

Deep Regret

After the crime, the defendant delivered pizza and later took the body to the Buga grounds. Worried that the body could be identified, he then separated the head and extremities and hid them near the Essigberg, near the Herkules. The defendant's legal team confirmed that he deeply regrets the crime. They asserted that the two men were close friends for years, knowing each other for about two to three years and living together for some months.

Other Criminal Charges

In addition to the murder charges, the 29-year-old also faces aggravated assault charges. In January 2024, he is said to have stabbed another man with a knife, causing life-threatening injuries. The prosecution links the incident to a dispute over drug consumption.
