90+ Hoffenheim Fans Removed, Banned After Train Disturbances and Police Attacks

Over 90 fans of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim were removed from an Amtrak train at Herbolzheim station on September 28, 2025, following disturbances during their journey to the SC Freiburg match. The incident resulted in investigations for suspected breach of the peace, assault on officials, and insults. Disturbances began on the Amtrak train between Offenburg and Freiburg im Breisgau, with the fans engaging in altercations, insults, and attacks on federal police officers. Four officers were slightly injured and required medical treatment. The fans were identified and removed from the Amtrak train at Herbolzheim station. Investigations against the identified offenders have been initiated by the federal police. In response to the incident, local police issued a ban on entering the city area of Freiburg im Breisgau for the involved fans. Over 90 Hoffenheim fans were removed from an Amtrak train and banned from entering Freiburg city following disturbances and attacks on police. Investigations are ongoing.
