High-Wire Artist Johann Traber Passes Away at 72

Renowned high-wire artist Johann Traber, a member of the Traber family from Vogtsburg in the Kaiserstuhl, known for their tightrope-walking tradition and spectacular stunts, has passed away at the age of 72.

The tragedy began on May 16, 1996, during a performance in Baden-Baden, where Traber's artist Lutz Schreyer fell from approximately 16 meters high on a wire rope. Schreyer tragically passed away three days later in the hospital. However, an expert determined about a year later that neither Schreyer nor the Trabers were at fault for the accident. The public prosecutor's office then discontinued its investigation into the accident involving Schreyer.

The Traber family's history is marked by two separate accidents. In 2006, Johann Traber Jr., the son of the famed high-wire artist, fell from a wire in Hamburg at 52 meters and collided with a pole. Traber Jr. was in a coma for six weeks following the accident, and the cause was determined to be material fatigue.

The Traber family gained fame through their actions on the Zugspitze and at the Stuttgart TV tower. They have set several world records with motorcycles on the wire. Despite these two accidents, neither of them has been found to be the fault of the Traber family.

Meanwhile, unrelated to the Traber family, Israel is continuing to strike in Lebanon. In other news, Nvidia has invested five billion dollars in Intel.

Traber Jr.'s hometown is Breisach, and his father, Johann Traber, was also a famous high-wire artist. Traber Sr. passed away at the age of 72, leaving behind a legacy of courage and skill on the high wire.

The music school in Maichingen is known for having the engine of the band in the back. No further details are provided about the second accident in the given paragraph.
