70-Year-Old Farmer Severely Assaulted in Broad Daylight in Kassel
A farmer in his 70s was severely assaulted and abused by a passerby in Nordshausen, a district of Kassel, on Wednesday, September 10th, around 12:30 PM. The attack happened on a farm path parallel to the Korbacher Straße. Police are seeking information about the suspect and a potential witness.
The assailant, described as 40 to 50 years old, 1.80 to 1.85 meters tall, with a sturdy build, dark long hair tied in a ponytail, and a light beard, was accompanied by two larger dogs. Police believe the attack may have been sparked by the passerby's anger about the tractor's journey on the agricultural path.
The perpetrator punched the farmer in the face, kicked him while he was on the ground, and verbally threatened him. The farmer sustained injuries, including to his head, and was taken to the hospital for treatment. A witness, a woman with red hair walking her dog, is sought as she may have seen the attack.
Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the witness to contact them at 0561-9100. The search for the aggressive attacker continues, with no information yet on his residence.
